Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav met Telangana Chief Minister KCR in Delhi today

Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in the national capital today and discussed various issues related to the country.

Mr. Rao is in Delhi as part of his week-long tour to attend national level political and social events. Mr. Yadav met the Chief Minister at his official residence on Tughlaq Road.

According to an official statement, “Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav met Chief Minister KCR. Their meeting is on. Both the leaders are discussing various national issues.”

As per the Telangana Chief Minister’s schedule, he will meet political, media and economic experts and will also help the families of soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for the country.

Mr Rao will also meet the families of those killed during the “fight for farmers’ rights” against the Centre.

He will leave for his Chandigarh tour on the afternoon of 22 May.

Mr Rao will meet 600 families of farmers who have sacrificed their lives during the countrywide farmers’ movement against the now repealed central agricultural laws.

He will distribute Rs 3 lakh to each family as financial assistance. The check distribution will be done with his Delhi and Punjab counterparts Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann.

This assistance will be given to the farmer families of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.

On 26 May, Mr Rao will reach Bengaluru to meet former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda. From there he will go to Ralegan Siddhi in Maharashtra the next day and meet activist Anna Hazare. Then he will go to Shirdi and worship Sai Baba and return to Hyderabad the same day.

He will visit West Bengal and Bihar on 29 and 30 May to meet the families of the soldiers who were martyred in the Galwan Valley. He will provide assistance to those families, the release said.
