South Korean tech giant Samsung is reportedly planning to launch its upcoming ‘Galaxy S22’ flagship series early next year. However, a new rumor from South Korea now says that the handsets will likely release later than the scheduled deadline. The reason behind the delay is said to be the ongoing problems in the supply chain. As per a report by GizmoChina, the ongoing chip shortage has affected several smartphone brands.
The Galaxy S22 series pre-orders were expected to go live in South Korea on February 8. Whereas, the sale was supposed to start around February 18. Samsung is rumored to launch three devices – S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra. The Samsung Galaxy S22 will follow the design of a vertical triple camera setup at the top left corner on an island attached to the frame, and the LED flash is on the right.
Samsung is expected to sell around 14 million Samsung Galaxy S22 units. At the same time, Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra are expected to reach the 8 million and 11 million mark respectively. The Indian variant of the upcoming Galaxy S22 series will be the first in the region to drop the next-generation Exynos in favor of the Snapdragon SoC.
