Sania Mirza announces retirement plans: Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and other celebs support ‘Queen’
bollywood actors Ranveer singh And Arjun Kapoor Tennis superstar Sania Mirza has extended her support to her after announcing her retirement on Wednesday. Ranveer posted a picture of Sania on his Instagram story in which she can be seen proudly holding the Indian flag. Along with the picture, he wrote, “Queen @mirzasaniar,” and added a crown emoticon.
Arjun Kapoor also took to his Instagram story and wrote, “Really an inspiration to many @mirzasaniar.”
Mirza announced her retirement plans after losing her opening round in the women’s doubles event at the ongoing Australian Open. The 35-year-old said after his match: “There are a few reasons for this. It’s not as simple as ‘Okay, I’m not going to play’. I think my recovery is taking longer, I’m putting my 3rd Am -year old son risks traveling so much with him, this is something I have to keep in mind. I feel like my body is getting worse. Today my knee was really hurting and I’m not this Saying that’s why we lost but I think it’s going to take time to recover as I get older.”

The Indian tennis player has won six Grand Slams and reached the pinnacle of the WTA doubles rankings. Mirza is also the first Indian to break into the top 30 in the WTA singles rankings.
