Saudi Arabia beat Argentina in their first match at the FIFA World Cup

Saudi Arabia has declared a national holiday tomorrow after the football team’s 2-1 win against Argentina in the FIFA World Cup, state media reported. Saudi King Salman announced today that all government and private employees will get a holiday tomorrow. Schools will also remain closed.
The move comes in the midst of final exams in the Gulf countries, indicating that they will have to be rescheduled.
Turki Al-Sheikh, advisor to the Royal Court and head of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, announced on Twitter that entrance fees to the city’s major theme parks and entertainment centers would be waived on Tuesday.
Saudi Arabia bounced back from conceding Lionel Messi’s early penalty to produce one of the World Cup’s biggest shocks thanks to a Saleh Al-Shehri equalizer and a sublime Salem Al-Dawsari winner at Doha’s Lusail Stadium.
Celebrations broke out across the capital Riyadh after the final whistle, with fans suddenly forming dance circles and waving national flags adorned with swords from the windows of speeding cars.
