‘Savior’ Kartik Aaryan ‘passes on the torch’ to Arjun Kapoor for Ek Villain Returns; view Post

The much awaited trailer of Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain Returns hit the internet recently a few days back. Not only fans but prominent faces of the entertainment world, including Kartik Aaryan, have taken to social media to praise the revamped version of the villainous Rishi featuring Arjun Kapoor, John Abraham, Tara Sutaria and Disha Patani.

Kartik Aaryan, who is currently enjoying the love and attention he is getting for his performance in his recent superhit Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, also shared the trailer on his Instagram story and wrote, “Great trailer. Hitting it with the baddies. Arjun Kapoor re-shared the actor’s post and referred to him as the “savior” of Bollywood. “The Savior has spoken,” wrote Arjun.

But the joke didn’t end there, Kartik re-shared Arjun’s reaction and wrote, “Passing the torch.”

Kartik Aaryan is still working on the mega-success premise of Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The actor proved to be a “savior” by actually drawing crowds to theatres. The film has earned over Rs 230 crore at the worldwide box office. The film also stars Kiara Advani, Tabu and Rajpal Yadav.

Kartik Aaryan will next be seen in Shehzada alongside his Luka Chuppi co-star Kriti Sanon. The film is scheduled to release on April 11 this year. Kartik also has an untitled film Freddy starring Sajid Nadiadwala and Capt. India in the queue. Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor has The Lady Killer and Kutty in his kitty, directed by Ajay Behl.
