Schools in Jharkhand will open and close at 8 am and afternoon respectively

Jharkhand’s School Education and Literacy Department has issued a new order regarding the timing of opening and closing of primary and middle schools. This order has been passed in view of the winter season.

According to the new order, now schools will remain open from eight in the morning to one in the afternoon. The education department of the state has given instructions to all the district officers in this regard. The decision comes after permission from the Disaster Management Department.

In the order of the Department of School Education and Literacy, it has been said that all schools in the state will open from 8 am to 2 pm, but teachers will have to remain in the school till 2 pm. Instructions have been given to all the districts in this regard. In districts like Ranchi and Dumka, the order was issued on Tuesday itself.

Earlier, the Directorate of Primary Education had directed to open schools from 9 am to 3 pm from November to February in the winter season, but now the timings of primary and middle schools have been changed.

In an order passed after the Diwali holiday, the Jharkhand School Education Department had allowed primary schools to reopen with offline classes.

Children’s education has been badly affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Schools have been reopened in almost every state after more than 1.5 years.
