Scooby Doo Fan? You Can Now Live in the Mystery Machine Van

Good news for all Scooby-Doo fans. If reports are to be believed, the iconic mystery machine van from the 2002 animated film is available for three one night stays on Airbnb. The best part is hosted by Shaggy himself. Matthew Lillard, who plays Shaggy Rogers in Scooby-Doo, is celebrating 20 years of the film by renting out mystery machines to a few lucky fans in Southern California, United States. Plus, Airbnb is holding a special screening in memory of the film. The vacation rental company has also recently partnered with some well-known contracts. This is being done to provide the fans a once in a lifetime experience. “Zoinks! Can you believe it’s been 20 years since we got the famous live action Scooby-Doo movie?” Airbnb wrote in its Twitter post.

Inside the van is a camper-style bedroom with ample space. Plus, there’s a lot of food. A dinner including Shaggy and Scooby’s favorite foods such as hot dogs and burgers, popcorn, movie candy and all Scooby snacks will satisfy nostalgia. There will also be a mystery game and a virtual greeting from Lillard when people check in.

According to a HotCars report, Lillard said, “I’ve been airing Shaggy since the live-action adaptation in 2002, and he’s been a part of me ever since. I’m a fan of the Mystery Inc. gang world on their Airbnb guest house.” Can’t wait to welcome you as host and give them a summer vacation they’ll never forget…monsters not included!”
The Mystery Machine is available from June 24 to 26 for three separate one-night stays for $20 (approximately Rs 1,564), excluding taxes and fees.

The Mystery Machine in the 2002 Scooby-Doo live-action film is a 1972 Bedford CF made by Vauxhall in the United Kingdom. According to Airbnb, the mystery machine has never before been available to the public for overnight stays. The van is full of Scooby-Doo film references and tropes.
