Isn’t it a boon to have delicious food delivered at your doorstep? With just one click, you place your order and have your favorite cuppa or pastry delivered to your doorstep. Many of us think that it becomes even more amusing when food delivery agencies use flying drones to drop food into our homes. However, air delivery can be a bit tricky if there are crows nearby. A video from Canberra, the capital of Australia, has gone viral on the internet, showing a fight between a raven and a delivery drone. Drones are seen hovering in the sky when a crow, a bird slightly larger than a crow, attacks it.
The video shows the bird preaching on the back of the drone and wrestling with it for a while. Then it starts pecking furiously at the drone. In such a situation, the drone drops the parcel from a higher than normal height. After a while the bird flies away. The video was taken by Ben Roberts. He was waiting for his order via air delivery when he saw Raven attacking the drone. He recorded the entire scene and uploaded it to YouTube.

The audience was taken aback by this turn of events. One person was concerned about the birds in this time of air traffic. He wrote, “After all, man bothers the birds in this way too… not giving the birds a place to fly.”
Another onlooker joked about the drinks being delivered. “Here’s your coffee, stirred…and shaken,” it read.
According to reports, the delivery drone company had to stop its operations in some parts of the city due to such bird attack on the drone. Drone operator Wing, working in collaboration with tech giant Google, had to temporarily halt delivery services.
“As is common during nesting season, some bird species exhibit territorial behavior and pounce on moving objects,” a spokesperson said.
