New Delhi: The Allahabad High Court Bar Association has demanded that all the decisions made by Justice Yashwant Verma be seen as judges of Allahabad and Delhi High Courts, and will be taken immediate steps for his impeachment.
It comes on the same day which is Delhi High Court Announced that The judicial work has been withdrawn from Verma – whose residence was a large part of the burnt cash Search after fire-Effect immediately till one orders. Justice Verma Has refused Cash allegations related to him or his family members.
Bar Association President Anil Tiwari said on Monday, “It is opposite that after the incident, the judiciary, especially the High Court and the Supreme Court will not be able to claim on a moral high basis.”

Reading the resolve of the crowd of advocates gathered in the court library hall on Monday, Tiwari said that the “conduct” of Justice Verma has “shocked the nation and the functionality of the Constitution is at stake”.
He said, “Therefore, as a continuity of Justice Yashwant Verma, the High Court judges are dangerous for democracy as it eradicates public belief, which is the only power available with the judicial system. If faith is gone, everything has gone, the nation will collapse,” he said.
The proposal further said: “It is further discussed by senior lawyers that the conduct in the question is not related to any judicial work of Nyaya Verma, and hence no security or convenience is to be provided. This security is given to discharge due to judicial duties.”
‘Let him sit in Delhi, and check it there’
Tiwari said that the association opposed any proposed transfer of Nyaya Verma in the Allahabad High Court or its Lucknow Bench or any other High Court. “Let him sit in Delhi, and investigated him there.”
The Chairman of the Bar Association also said that the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjeev Khanna should immediately allow the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED), or any other investigating agency to investigate. “If needed, he (Verma) should be taken into custody for inquiries and inquiries with prior permission of CJI.”
Tiwari also appealed to the government to amend the Judges (Inquiry) Act 1968 to make the process quick, easy and transparent by including members of the civil society. He questioned the process of appointing judges through the appointments of judges in the Supreme Court and High Courts, called it non-transparent.
“Not all qualified and competent persons are considered, rather, the idea is limited to a very judicial class of lawyers, who are either a family of judges or families of influential lawyers or are close to them,” he said, calling to review the collegium system.
A copy of the resolution has been asked to send all times of the country, as well as the government, CJI and all the Supreme Court judges.
Earlier on Friday, the High Court Bar Association also issued a notice, stating that it was “surprised” by a proposal to transfer Nyaya Verma to the Allahabad High Court.

A press release of the Supreme Court on Friday clarified that a proposal for Verma’s transfer is still under consideration by the collegium, and is independent of the in-house investigation initiated against the judge.
