Seek approval on slogans, banners: Taliban ordered to end rejected demonstrations

“It is hereby declared to all citizens that they will not attempt any demonstration under any name at the present time,” a statement from the Taliban government said.

The interior ministry of the new Taliban government is calling for an end to the protests in Afghanistan after days of protests that have unleashed heavy attacks on protesters.

The minister has issued an order to end all protests in the country – unless the protesters get prior permission, which includes the approval of slogans and banners.

It is unlikely that women leading daily protests demanding their rights from the country’s radical Islamic rulers will be allowed to protest under the new rules. In the words of the ministry’s statement, “It is hereby declared to all citizens that they will not attempt any demonstration under any name at the present time.”
