Selected candidates have sought appointment orders for the post of Railway Technician

Several job aspirants protested in front of Rail Soudha in Hubballi on Thursday, demanding appointment orders for those selected for the post of railway technician in the recruitment drive conducted by South Western Railway in 2018.

The recruitment was conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) for South Western Railway and candidates from different parts of the country wanted to know why their appointment process has been delayed by four years.

While raising slogans demanding immediate appointment order, he expressed his anger over the delay.

The protesting candidates said that along with the recruitment of 320 technicians, written examination was also conducted for the recruitment of loco pilots.

While posting orders for loco pilots have been issued and those selected have reported for duty, the authorities are delaying issuing posting orders to technicians, he said.

He urged the senior officials of Railways to take steps to issue posting orders at the earliest.
