less than 24 hours later Actress Priyanka Chopra announced to the world that she And after her husband Nick Jonas welcomed their first child through a surrogate mother, author Taslima Nasreen took to Twitter to express her views on the practice of surrogacy.
“Surrogacy is possible because there are poor women. Rich people always want the existence of poverty in the society for their own interests. If you have a bad need to raise a child, adopt a homeless one. Children must inherit your traits – it’s just a selfish ego,” she wrote on Twitter.
Taslima Nasreen added, “How do those mothers feel when they have their ready-made children through surrogacy? Do they have the same feelings for children as mothers who give birth to babies?”
How do those mothers feel when they receive their readymade babies through surrogacy? Do they have the same feelings for children as mothers who give birth to children?

Surrogacy refers to an arrangement in which a woman agrees to bear and give birth to a child on behalf of another person or couple. The process involves fertilizing a woman’s egg with a man’s sperm to form an embryo through medical procedures. The embryo is then implanted in the uterus of the surrogate mother who gives birth to the baby.
Taslima Nasreen’s views on the subject have taken Twitter by storm. While some netizens agreed with his opinion, many said it was insensitive and emphasized that the decision to opt for adoption or surrogacy is a deeply personal choice made by an individual or couple. Some also pointed to the fact that the choice of surrogacy is often motivated by medical concerns.
Here’s a selection of tweets in response to Taslima Nasreen’s point of view:
Using the word readymade was insensitive..if ur lady, won’t you

Why must women go through extreme pain to feel ‘connected’ to their children? Men do not go through any pain but no one says that they do not have the same attachment to the child as a mother

It is better not to become a mother than to have a child through surrogacy. Unless the mother’s blood flows in the child, how can a human being feel the feeling of love?

seriously???? Wow.. have some respect for them. It is their decision and their child. Of course the child will get the same unconditional love and support as any other child. We don’t know what was the reason and it is of no use to us.

A mother is the one who takes care of the child. There is no one who just gives birth. You’re working hard to seem relevant. Do you know if Priyanka has any problem in conceiving? Perhaps surrogacy was his only choice?
Do you think a child should be labeled “readymade” before tweeting?
