Barcelona striker Sergio Aguero will be out for at least three months, the club said on Monday while being assessed for treatment for a heart problem. “Aguero has been subjected to a diagnostic and therapeutic process by Dr. Josep Brugada. He is unavailable for selection and the effectiveness of the treatment will be evaluated to determine the course of his recovery during the next three months.”
The Argentine was taken to hospital on Saturday after suffering breathing problems as Barcelona drew with Alves at home. He was replaced by Philippe Coutinho before half time.
The club uploaded a picture of the player, popularly known as ‘Kun’, to Twitter with the hashtag ‘Forkakun’ (Strength Kun).
The 33-year-old arrived from Manchester City last European summer. He has played five competitive matches in which he has scored just one goal.
