Shah Rukh Khan on Tuesday teased the launch of his OTT platform, prompting congratulatory messages from friends and colleagues in the industry. Shah Rukh shared an announcement poster on Twitter, which read, “SRK+, COMING SOON”.
However, SRK and his production banner Red Chillies Entertainment are yet to confirm whether SRK+ is indeed his new OTT app or not.
The 56-year-old actor, who has been away from the big screen since his last release “Zero” in 2018, captioned the post “Kuch kuch ho wala hai, OTT ki duniya mein (something is happening in the world) OTT”.
Sharing Shah Rukh’s tweet, Salman congratulated the actor.
“Aaj ki party teri taray se @iamsrk. Congratulations on your new OTT app, SRK+,” wrote the “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” actor.
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap tweeted that he is collaborating with the superstar on the new OTT app.
Kashyap captioned the actor’s announcement, writing, “Dream come true! Collaborating with @iamsrk on their new OTT app, SRK+.”
Shah Rukh’s colleague and friend Karan Johar also congratulated him on the new app.
“Biggest news of the year! @iamsrk, it’s going to change the face of OTT. Excited!!!” Shah Rukh had forayed into the digital streaming space as a producer with “Bard of Blood” and “Betaal”, both series streaming on Netflix. The projects were supported by his production house.
