The project is said to be an official adaptation of the 2011 French film, previously adapted into a Tamil film opposite Kamal Haasan.
Shahid Kapoor on Friday started shooting for an upcoming project with filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar.
According to media reports, the untitled project is a crime action film which will mark the first collaboration between Kapoor and Zafar.

The 40-year-old Kapoor shared a candid picture with Zafar on social media and said he is up for “a lot of action”.
“Day 1 Blood, crime and a lot of action. Here we go… @Aliabbasszafar better face your game,” he posted.
Zafar also shared the news of starting the shooting of his new project.
The 39-year-old writer-director wrote without divulging details, “Let’s start this @shahidkapoor…..are you ready for a crazy, bizarre, crazy ride of guns and gangs.”
The film is said to be an official adaptation of the 2011 French film “Nuit Blanche” (Sleepless Night), which was adapted into a Tamil film opposite Kamal Haasan.
Kapoor will reportedly play the role of a cop who is chasing drug lords.
Apart from this film, the actor is also awaiting the release of “Jersey”, a remake of the 2019 Telugu blockbuster of the same name.

Zafar is known for making the blockbuster movies “Sultan”, “Tiger Zinda Hai” and “Bharat”, all of which were fronted by superstar Salman Khan. He recently directed the series ‘Tandav’ starring Saif Ali Khan.
