The tweet has sent social media users into a tizzy
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, who is known for his eloquent English, regularly throws word-bombs on Twitter that very few people understand. His use of long and catchy English words often draws social media users to Google to find their meaning. This morning he posted an adjective-laden witty tweet, which is fast going viral.
On Wednesday, the MP shared a picture of a truck carrying thousands of copies of Rosette’s thesaurus crashing into the ground. The picture also has a long text which describes the reaction of the witnesses after witnessing the unfortunate accident. The caption of the post read, “A smile to brighten the morning!”

The text reads, “A truck carrying thousands of copies of Roget’s Thesaurus crashed yesterday, losing its entire load. Witnesses were stunned, shocked, appalled, dazed, astonished, confused Bewildered, Shocked, Shocked, Paralyzed, Astounded, Dazed, Confused, Astounded, Awed, and Dumbfounded, Amazed, Amazed, Amazed, Amazed, Amazed, Amazed, Overwhelmed, Horrified, Stunned, Speechless, shocked, amazed, disappointed, distraught, upset and breathless.
As usual, the tweet baffled social media users, with many saying they had their fill of adjectives for the day, while some poked fun at Mr Tharoor’s remark that he might know more synonyms.
One user wrote, “Well that’s my vocabulary on the road.”

Another joked, “Maybe we should add a new word to the dictionary that means and change all those words and just say, “The witness was Tharoor.”

Another wrote, “Ha ha, they don’t know our Tharoor Sahab can add few more words and add more smile.”
A fourth decided to reply to Mr Tharoor in the same witty vein. He remarked, “Witnesses looked at the scatter and wondered whether the consignment was broken up or scattered or disintegrated or scattered or thrown hither and thither or haphazardly shattered.” A fifth said, “I’m sure you know some more synonyms they missed,” while another wrote, “Now we’re out of words.”
Now we are short of words. https://t.co/zU37SGPZFO
