Raj Kundra, who was an avid Instagram user, deactivated his account last year after he was released on bail. He was arrested by the police on July 19 along with 11 others for allegedly making obscene films. He was later released on bail in September. The allegations were leveled against Kundra for allegedly producing and distributing pornographic films using a customer-driven mobile app called ‘Hotshots’.
On the other hand, Kundra has denied all the allegations against him, saying that he has been falsely implicated.
In an official statement, Raj Kundra said, “I would like to start by saying that I have never been involved in the production and distribution of “Pornography” in my life. This entire episode is nothing but a witch hunt ”
“The matter is sub-judice so I can’t explain, but I am ready to face trial and have full faith in the judiciary, where the truth will prevail. However, unfortunately, I have already been declared “guilty” by the media and my family. And I have suffered a lot in violation of my human and constitutional rights at various levels,” he said.
Kundra further said that the trolling, negativity and toxic public perception has been very debilitating. “To set the record straight, I don’t hide my face in shame, but don’t want my privacy to be intruded with this constant “media testing,” he said.
Further, the businessman added, “My priority has always been my family, nothing else matters at this juncture. I believe it is the inalienable right of every individual to live with dignity and I request the same “
