Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR in partnership with MachineHack has invited data scientists, machine learning developers and artificial intelligence enthusiasts to showcase their data and analytics skills by participating in the 2nd edition of Analytics Olympiad 2022. The winner of the Olympias will get a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh. The second and third place winners will be awarded Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively. Analytics Olympiad 2022 will be conducted in two phases. The first phase will involve participants presenting their point of view against a given problem description. They will need to develop solutions based on the datasets provided on the platform. The first stage will be evaluated on the basis of the leader board, and the top 10 participants will then move on to the jury round. The university claims that the Olympiad received over 1000 registrations from across the country in its first year.
Dr. Bibek Banerjee, Dean of the School of Management and Entrepreneurship and Founder Dean of The Academy of Continuing Education at Shiv Nadar University, said, “The demand for skilled data science talent is growing rapidly across all sectors; However, not enough trained and skilled professionals are entering the industry every year to help bridge this additional demand. Post COVID, the digital economy is growing at a strong pace and facing new challenges for data driven solutions.”
