Resolution 6

The current political crisis was initiated by Eknath Shinde, who had been out of communication with several MLAs after the MLC election results. Rebel MLAs led by Shinde arrived at a hotel in Surat late on Monday night, hours after the BJP won the fifth seat despite not having enough numbers in the assembly. Since then more MLAs have joined the rebel camp which is currently based in Guwahati, Assam.
