Shivamogga Police has arrested two persons for having links with the banned terrorist organization.

The arrested persons are Major Munir Ahmed, 22, from Mangaluru and Syed Yasin, 22, of Siddheshwar Nagar in Shivamogga. Another accused Soppu Gudde’s body is absconding in Tirthahalli.

The Shivamogga rural police had registered a case against the trio under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967. The police produced him in the court on September 20 and took him into custody till September 29.

Syed Yasin’s father Ayub Khan told media persons that his son was missing for more than 15 days. The police did not register a family complaint regarding the disappearance of Syed Yasin. On the night of 19 September, he received a call from the police informing him that his son had been arrested.
