The mother of both the sisters, victims of alleged criminal tendencies, told that they were abducted around 2 pm. At 5.30 pm, local residents told that their bodies were found hanging from a tree. The SP said that on the basis of the complaint of the victim’s mother, a case has been registered against all the accused under sections 302, 323, 452, 376 of IPC and POCSO Act. The police will also add fines under the SC/ST Act in this case.

According to the FIR, the main accused along with others barged into the victim’s house and forcibly took them away on a motorcycle.

The FIR states that the accused also thrashed their mother, raped two sisters and hung their bodies on a tree.

Uttar Pradesh police arrested 6 accused

UP Police has arrested six people in connection with the rape and murder of 15 and 17 year old sisters. UP ADG (L&O) Prashant Kumar said, “The post-mortem has been completed, the body has been handed over to the family for last rites.”

The accused have been identified as Chhotu, Junaid, Suhail, Karimuddin, Arif and Hafeez-ur-Rehman. Uttar Pradesh Police said Junaid was arrested after an encounter with the police in which he was shot in the leg.

After arresting the accused within 24 hours of the crime, the Uttar Pradesh Police said that justice would be done. On Thursday evening, the five accused were produced before a magistrate, except Junaid, who was admitted to the hospital due to injuries sustained during the encounter. Later, he will be produced before the Additional District Judge.

Demand for table of victim’s family

After both his daughters were murdered and raped, the father said, “I demand justice.” Further, establishing that the girls’ family demanded death penalty for the accused, they refused to perform the last rites of their deceased teenage daughters.

Subsequently, after the intervention of the authorities, the girls’ families agreed to cremate the bodies of their girls, but put forth three demands. They demanded a compensation of Rs one crore, a government job for the brother of the two teenage girls and death penalty for the accused.

Speaking to India Today, the family members of the accused denied all the allegations and said that their sons were innocent.

“If my sons had made a mistake, they would have run away but everyone was at home,” the family said.

The Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested six people in connection with the crime. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said on Thursday that the government would take action so that the souls of his future generations would also tremble. The Uttar Pradesh Police assured speedy and strict action against the culprits, saying they would not be spared. Indicating its intention to create a deterrent effect in the state, UP Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said the government would take such action that the souls of their future generations would tremble.
