Shooting for Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Indian 2’ begins

Director Shankar has announced that the team of the upcoming film “Indian 2” is all set to start shooting for the remaining portions on Thursday.

The Tamil-language film is a follow-up to the 1996 vigilante action thriller “Indian” starring Kamal Haasan.

Shankar, who also directed the first part, shared the update on Twitter as he shared new posters of the film featuring Haasan.

“Good morning Indians, we are happy to announce that the remaining shooting for Indian 2 begins today! Need all your support and well wishes,” wrote the acclaimed filmmaker.

Haasan said that he will join the production next month.

He tweeted, “Filming for #Indian2 from Sept. Congrats team @shankarshanmugh, #Subskaran, @LycaProductions & everyone else added a successful journey. Welcome to Thambi @Udhaystalin @RedGiantMovies_.”

“Indian 2” also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram and Samuthirakani.

The film is supported by Subhaskaran Alliraja of Lyca Productions and DMK Youth Wing Secretary and MLA Udayanidhi Stalin through Red Giant Movies.
