Siddaramaiah said on JP Nadda’s statement, ‘PM Modi is not God to show mercy to anyone’

Senior Congress leader and former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday condemned BJP national president JP Nadda’s statement about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s blessings on the poll-bound state. The saffron party chief addressed a public meeting in Shiggaon, Karnataka.

Taking to Twitter, Siddaramaiah said, “I condemn @JPNadda’s statement about @narendramodi’s blessings on Karnataka. Looks like he needs a lesson on democracy.”

“All states are equal and have equal rights as per the constitution. There is no place for dictatorship in a democracy. In a democracy, the public decides the fate of the candidates and the elected representatives can serve them. @narendramodi There is no God who shows mercy to anyone.”

Siddaramaiah filed his nomination for the Karnataka Legislative Assembly elections on 10 May from the Varuna constituency, as he reiterated that this would be his last election and in fact prepared a “succession plan” of sorts. Currently, his younger son Dr. Yatindra Siddaramaiah is the sitting Congress MLA from Varuna.

Nadda said on Wednesday, “Congress means commission, corruption and criminalization. I have come here to appeal everyone to vote for development.”

I urge all of you to make ‘Kamal’ win, make BJP win! Karnataka should not be deprived of Modi ji’s blessings and should never lag behind in the race for development. This, all of you should ensure by choosing only ‘Kamal’,” said the BJP national president.

He said, “The excitement and enthusiasm present in the crowd here shows that all of you have decided to bring back Bommai ji for the next five years. To ensure that there is development in every nook and corner of Karnataka, you must give the BJP Gotta vote.” ,

CM Bommai, Kannada actor Kiccha Sudeep and other BJP leaders were also present during the roadshow in Karnataka on Wednesday.

The 224-seat assembly will go to polls on May 10 and the counting of votes will take place on May 13.
