Deepak Mundi, along with two of his associates, Kapil Pandit and Rajendra Joker, in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case, have been sent to 7-day police custody by a Mansa court.
Deepak Mundi, the last accused in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case, was arrested by Nepal Police on Saturday.
According to sources, the Nepal Police arrested Deepak along with his two accomplices Kapil Pandit and Rajinder when they reached Jhapa village on the West Bengal-Nepal border.
In a latest update, Punjab DGP said that Deepak Mundi and his two accomplices were arrested in a joint operation launched by Delhi Police and Punjab Police in which 23 out of 35 accused have been arrested.
The police officer further said that Deepak Mundi was in touch with Canada-based gangster Goldie Brar as the latter had promised him a safe passage through Nepal.
Singer-politician Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29. His cousin and a friend who were traveling with him in the jeep were also injured in the attack.
