Indian badminton ace PV Sindhu reigned supreme in Singapore as she defeated Wang Zhi Yi of China to win the Singapore Open title.
Sindhu defeated her opponent in three games 21-9, 11-21, 21-15 to clinch the title.

“Thanks to everyone out there who has been helpful. Singapore is a nice city, nice to be here. Nick will win the final after a long time. Getting this title today means a lot because it gives me a lot of confidence and it will definitely take me to another level. The entire tournament has been good. This is just the beginning and I look forward to taking some rest before turning my attention to the Commonwealth Games,” the champion said in a post-match interview.
She became the second Indian woman 12 years after Sinan Nehwal to win the Singapore Open.
This is Sindhu’s third title of the year and 18th overall.
