LG VK Saxena took cognizance of Sisodia’s claim and urged Delhi Police to look into it

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia on Thursday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) conspired to kill Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal fearing losing the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and Gujarat assembly elections. Sources said that LG VK Saxena later took cognizance of the claim and urged the Delhi Police to look into it. He told the police commissioner, “Please ensure that such incidents, orchestrated or otherwise, do not happen to the extent possible.”

Sisodia wrote on Twitter, “You are not going to be afraid of their petty politics, now the public will respond to their hooliganism.”

Sisodia’s remarks came in response to Tiwari’s tweet, in which he had expressed concern over Kejriwal’s security, highlighting recent allegations of corruption and “selling of tickets” for the MCD polls.

Earlier on Wednesday, Sisodia attacked the BJP, saying the party had failed to fulfill its primary responsibility of maintaining cleanliness during its 15-year tenure in the civic body and the people of Delhi would give a befitting reply in the upcoming elections.

AAP has raised the issue of waste management in Delhi to wrest power from the three-time winner BJP in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections.
