Six MLC candidates elected unanimously from TRS

As expected, all the six candidates nominated by the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) from the MLA quota were unanimously chosen as no other candidate filed nomination papers.

Those who were elected included Gutta Sukhendra Reddy, Kadiyam Srihari, Banda Prakash, Padi Kaushik Reddy, T. Ravinder Rao and P. Venkatrami Reddy. Announcing their unanimous election, Returning Officer Upendra Reddy handed over the certificates to everyone on Monday evening.

Later speaking to reporters, all the newly elected MLCs thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for providing him an opportunity to serve the people.

“Telangana is ahead of all other states in the country in terms of development. We work for the development of Telangana under the leadership of Shri Chandrashekhar Rao. The Chief Minister is trying to do justice to all sections of the society. The BJP government at the Center is not able to digest the development taking place here, is trying to put obstacles in the way of Telangana. It has been seven years since the Narendra Modi-led BJP came to power at the Centre. There has been a steep fall in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) during the BJP rule and it went down to zero during the COVID-19 pandemic. If Modi is a successful and capable leader then why has the GDP fallen?” TRS asked MLC.

Minister V. Prashant Reddy was also present.
