Jammu: civil engineering school, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University ,SMVDU) in collaboration with Katra Megadrone Private Limited Dehradun Organized a workshop on applications of drones in civil engineering.
SMVDU spokesperson said, “The aim of the workshop was to make the civil engineering students aware of the latest technology and techniques available for surveying. Drones are evolving technology and their future is huge.”
“Autonomous flying sessions were conducted to allow participants to fly the drone and understand its controls.”
Dr Ajay Kaul, Dean, Department of Engineering, presided over the inaugural session and interacted with the students about artificial intelligence and machine learning of drones.
Dr VK Dogra, Head, School of Civil Engineering, spoke about the workshop and emphasized that students should think about new applications of drones in civil engineering.
Shashank Mutneja, Director, Megadrone Pvt Ltd. Ltd. briefed the students about the applications of drones in civil engineering in practice.
