India Fashion Week Australia will return to the runway at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on 30 October 2022 after a gap of two years. fashion show curated by Bollywood Actor, Vishwajit Pradhan and his wife Sonalika Pradhan aim to promote cross-cultural partnerships within the global fashion community.
IFWA’s program this year includes a high fashion runway show featuring international designers such as Vietnamese designer Ivan Tran, Indian designer Archana Kochhar and India’s first transgender fashion designer, Sayesha Shinde. The event will also showcase local Australian designers such as Vicula, Miras and Young Designers Galleries, with Supernova Collection Company and Cruz La Mode Fashion making their debut at IFWA. The event will be choreographed by esteemed Indian fashion legend Shakir Sheikh.
Leading Indian-origin lifestyle and fashion social media influencer, Nagma Mirajkar has been chosen as the showstopper for Indian fashion designer Archana Kochhar’s runway show, making her debut at IFWA. Kochhar will showcase her Le Jewel collection which is a blend between Indian heritage and western highlights, sprinkled with the hues of royal gems India – Emerald and ruby.
Organized by Mylur Events, the inaugural edition of IFWA in 2019 was attended by designers like Samant Chauhan, Mini Raksewski, Nicholas Gilbert, Rimi Nayak and Vikula.

Archana Kochhar says, “I am excited as this is my first showcase in Australia! My collection, Le Jewel, is a marriage between Indo-Western silhouettes and artisan Indian embroidery. Working with Western sensibilities and with an Australian audience The resonating collection will add a taste of India. Nagma Mirajkar will be the showstopper in a stunning red embroidered lehenga. The influencers have on the fashion industry are truly amazing and I can’t wait to work with her.”
