Goa Police met BJP leader and late actor on Friday Sonali Phogat’s Haryana residence According to news agency ANI, is located in Hisar district and has recovered three diaries. Police inspected his bedroom, cupboard and password protected locker. They have sealed the locker of Phogat’s house.
Goa Police Inspector Theron D’Costa told ANI that the team is still investigating and probing the matter, hence, any conclusion can be drawn only after being done with it.
Phogat’s brother, Watan Dhaka, said he received a call from the Goa Police to search his Sant Nagar apartment in Hisar, where he had spent nearly three hours on Friday. “They (police) had locked Sonali Phogat’s locker and took three of her diaries with them,” he said.
Phogat’s brother-in-law Aman Punia also said that the electronic locker was sealed for not opening it.
Meanwhile, a confidential report on Sonali Phogat murder case has already been sent to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Goa CM Pramod Sawant has said that a charge sheet will be filed soon.
Sonali Phogat was declared brought dead on August 23 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Anjuna, North Goa. According to the postmortem report, the 42-year-old man had a blunt force blow to his body and the Goa Police again launched an investigation into the murder.
According to Goa Police, former Bigg Boss contestant Sonali Phogat was allegedly forced to take drugs by two of her friends, who has now been detained after being identified as the respondent in the case. According to Goa Police, two accused Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh have been taken into custody and further interrogation is on.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Jeevba Dalvi, Goa Police has also arrested Edwin Nunes and suspected drug dealer Dattaprasad Gaonkar in connection with the murder of Sonali Phogat.
Earlier on August 29, Sawant had said that Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) If needed, Sonali will take over the investigation of Phogat’s murder.
