“Everyone is human. Mistakes will happen but Rohit’s record as captain is excellent. Five IPL titles, Asia Cup winners, whatever captaincy he has won, so his record as captain is excellent. Mistakes will happen Because they are all human.” Ganguly Said on the sidelines of a promotional event.

“That’s why he (Kohli) was so happy that RCB qualified. They are all great players, it’s just a matter of time before they put their best foot forward,” Ganguly said.
Captain Sharma, Kohli and senior pacers Jasprit Bumrah All have been rested from the five-match home T20I series against South Africa next month.
In Rohit’s absence, KL Rahul has been appointed as the captain of the Indian team for the T20I series against the Proteas.
Rishabh Pant Notably, his DRS has failed to impress with decisions, but Ganguly feels he will improve with time.
“Don’t compare Pant with MS Dhoni. Dhoni Has so much experience, has captained more than 500 games in IPL, Tests and ODIs. So it is not fair to compare Rishabh with Dhoni.
Malik’s future is in his hands, fitness will be important
Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Umran Malik has been one of the discoverers of the IPL with his raw pace, scoring India’s first call-up for the T20I series at a consistent 150kmph.
“His future is in his hands. If he stays fit and bowls at this pace, I am sure he will be around for a long time.
“Many people have played well in this IPL. Tilak (Verma) has done well for MI. Rahul (Tripathi) for Sunrisers, Tewatia for GT.
We have seen many emerging fast bowlers like Malik, Mohsin Khan, Arshdeep Singh. Avesh Khan…It’s a place where talent gets exposure.”
