Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Commissioner P. Sampath Kumar said that the corporation is giving priority to elderly persons, senior citizens and physically challenged during the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) by arranging special counters on Monday.
The civic chief himself met several elderly persons, who were waiting for their turn to submit representations, and enquired about them. He said that proper seating was arranged for the people attending the PGRS and added that drinking water facility is also being provided.
Mr. Sampath Kumar also said that apart from the PGRS on Monday, people can submit their complaints everyday at the counters arranged in the GVMC office. Besides, people can also submit their grievances to GVMC chief everyday between 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.. If the Commissioner is not available, Additional Commissioners will receive the complaints, he said.
