Scotland players walked into the Indian team’s dressing room after the T20 World Cup Group 2 match between the two sides ended at the Dubai International Stadium on Friday. Scotland captain Kyle Coetzer has previously said that his team would love to chat with some of the best in the game and learn a trick or two. This will help them to promote the game in the country and improve the existing team.

“We want, they are excellent ambassadors of the game. We want our people to talk to them, be it (Virat) Kohli or (Kane) Williamson or Rashid Khan. It’s the only and best way to learn. We happened We used to be able to do this in pubs before, but now we can’t,” Coetzer had said.

Under the leadership of mentor MS Dhoni, Team India fulfilled his wish as they welcomed the Scottish players into their dressing room. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday posted a video in which players like Dhoni, Kohli and Rohit Sharma are seen interacting with Scottish players.

Coetzer had also said that standing next to his Indian counterpart Kohli would be a special moment for anyone as he is a role model for the game.

India won the match by 8 wickets in an all-round performance against Scotland in Dubai on Friday. India managed to bowl Scotland out for a modest 85 as Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami took three wickets each while Jasprit Bumrah took two.

In reply, India won the match in 6.3 overs with the help of KL Rahul’s 19-ball 50.
