Queen Elizabeth is one of the iconic figures in the world of pop culture. The British monarch has been the subject of many memes and even a hit Netflix series, The Crown. Her popularity seems to have inspired even a one-year-old American child to dress up for Halloween last year. The unique resemblance to the Halloween costume was noticed by the Queen, who sent her a letter of appreciation.
According to a TODAY report, Jaylane Sutherland of Ohio dressed up as Queen Elizabeth and wore a blue overcoat, wig, hat and the Queen’s signature pearls. Jalayne also had a few corpses, just like the Emperor, which made her Halloween look worthy of even more praise. Jalayne’s mom, Katelyn Sutherland, sent a letter to Buckingham Palace in London and some photos of the baby in a cute outfit. The response from the British Royal took the family by surprise.
Sutherlands received the Queen’s letter that came with the Windsor Castle insignia and was dated 9 December 2021 from the Queen’s Lady-in-Waiting, Hon. Mary Morrison. The letter read, “The Queen would like me to write and thank you for your letter, and for the picture you have thoughtfully attached. Her Majesty thought you wanted to write to her, and to the Queen your daughter.” Glad to see a picture of her in Jalayne’s fabulous outfit.”
Sutherlands shared photos of her children in Halloween costumes on Facebook last year. Jalayne was accompanied by his brother who dressed as Superman. The caption of the pictures read, “Queen Elizabeth II and her corpse. And of course Superman.”
Netizens have been commenting on the pictures shared by the Ohio-based family. As one of the audience wrote, “Your family and especially your daughter in your dress is giving me so much joy!”
