Chamika Karunaratne brought the serpent dance to troll Bangladesh when Sri Lanka beat them by two wickets to seal their spot in the Super Four in a thrilling finish.
Fans in Dubai regarded it as an incredible match of cricket as both the teams brought intensity to this winning match.
Dasun Shanaka won the toss and called Bangladesh to bat. Mehdi Hasan landed on a flier and scored 38 runs off just 26 balls and was well supported by skipper Shakib Al Hasan at the other end.
Afif Hossain then took over and valuable contributions from Mahmudullah and Mosaddek Hossain meant Bangladesh reached 183 runs in their allotted 20 overs.
In reply, the Sri Lankan opener went to a flier and scored 45 before Pattum Nisanka was dismissed by Abadot Hossain. Aslanka and Gunathilaka followed quickly and Sri Lanka found themselves in trouble.
Shanaka then came out and provided much-needed support to Mendis as the opener scored a scintillating half-century to keep the Lanka Lions in the hunt.
However, Mendis could not last till the end as he was dismissed by Mustafizur Rahman but Shanaka kept the momentum going.
The Sri Lankan captain then died, but the lower order took the win with two wickets and four balls to spare with a clutch performance to see Sri Lanka home.
However, the cameras were able to spot a special moment as Karunaratne performed the serpent dance to troll the Bangladesh team after the match.
The dance has been synonymous with the Bangladeshi team for a long time and it was hilarious to see Karunaratne use it to celebrate the victory.
