Sri Lanka’s economy will contract more than 6% in 2022, says central bank governor

Colombo, Sri Lanka) Sri Lanka’s beleaguered economy is expected to contract more than 6% this year as political instability and social unrest hinder important discussions on financial relief with the International Monetary Fund and bilateral creditors, the governor of the country’s central bank said.
