This traditional drink of Jammu and Kashmir has been in existence since the time of Babur. Tikhur Sherbaati
The drink of Chhattisgarh itself is quite unique as it is made from the indigenous herb Curcuma angustifolia. Globules are made by soaking it in water overnight and then drying it in the sun to make a paste. These globules are later used to make this interesting drink. It is an instant source of energy in summers because of the high carbohydrate content in the drink.
Piyush
One of the favorite drinks of Maharashtra and Gujarat, Piyush is made by mixing several ingredients together. It has Shrikhand, buttermilk, nutmeg, saffron and lots of dry fruits. It has a sweet taste that refreshes the body and is also a great dessert.
