Stock market: Settlement holiday today. What should investors know?

April 1, 2022, is a settlement holiday due to the annual bank closing. A settlement holiday is a day when trading is possible, but clearing and settlement are closed for the settlement and payment of stocks and funds.

Your account balance will not include the following credits as on April 1, 2022, if profit is earned during the day share Sections on 30 and 31 March. and, credits from trades made in equity futures and options (F&O), currency and commodity derivatives as on March 31. This will include option premium credit, futures M2M profit etc.

India’s credit, foreign exchange/money markets are also closed today as banks are closed to close annual accounts. Meanwhile, the Sensex rose 112 points to 58,681.22 while the Nifty rose 33 points to 17,498 in early trade on Friday.
