Sessions aimed at providing the participants with practical experience of PCB design

A group of students, faculty members and industrialists under the aegis of Atal Incubation Centre-PEC Foundation (AIC-PECF) and Puducherry Technological University (PTU) were given hands-on training in designing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), which integrate electronic components into a single circuit. keeps together. ,

The specific area was chosen, given the increasing use of electronics and how electronic circuits come to life through PCB design. A press note from the Atal Incubation Centre-PEC Foundation stated that a major goal of the training session was to provide participants with practical experience in designing PCBs using Altium Designer.

During the session, students learned to use Altium Designer for many different tasks, including recognizing component symbols and footprints, PCB layout, terms used in PCB design, transferring schematics to PCBs, designing Includes setting up rules, placing and routing components. They also covered various routing techniques, length matching and signal integrity analysis.

Topics such as Design Rule Check, 3D Viewing of PCB Boards, Integration, Documentation and Fabrication Output and Multi-board Design in Altium Designer were also discussed. Around 150 students from various fields, 35 faculties and industrialists participated in the workshop.

PTU Vice Chancellor S. Mohan explained the importance of PCB design and encouraged the participants to take valuable lessons from the sessions. Yes. Gerald Moses, Dean (Industrial and Sponsored Research), PTU and AIC-PECF Director, Kalaichelvan Mananathan, Managing Director, Manatek Electronics Pvt. Ltd. and B. Hemakumar, IIC Coordinator, PTU addressed the participants.

R. Sundaramurthy, Executive Director of AIC-PECF, V. Vishnu Vardhan, CEO of AIC-PECF, S. Rajkumar, COO of AIC-PECF, and Sairam Yarramsetti presented the Best Altium Beginner award to the five students who excelled in the workshop.
