Jhansi: Hundreds students Various colleges affiliated to Bundelkhand University on Monday staged a protest in front of the university gate alleging irregularities and irregularities during the scrutiny of examination papers, due to which many students failed in the final examination.

The students said that since the final year results were evaluated on the basis of the previous year’s examinations in which they were promoted without any examination due to the COVID pandemic, they would be considered failed in the previous year’s examinations as well.

The students further alleged that earlier they were informed about the theory exams which were later changed to MCQ-based exams and two exams were conducted in a day. “At the last moment the decision to conduct a theatrical exam was converted into MCQs with two exams in a day, leading to total chaos. Later we came to know that there were technical glitches even during the checking of answer sheets”, said one of the protesting girl, a BSc second year student.
“This is a very serious issue which should be taken up on priority as there are many instances where the result of students was shown as pass first and after few days they were declared as failed. This is a matter for the future of hundreds of students. What if someone commits suicide, who will be responsible?”, asked Prashant GuptaB.Com second year student from Banda.
