Actor and film director Rishabh Shetty on Sunday expressed the need for stories from different parts of Karnataka, saying the locals are in a better position to bring out the essence of their culture and practices, which would surely be accepted across the globe. .
Participating in the final session on ‘Cinema and Culture – When the local is universal’ at the Mangaluru Lit Fest, Mr. Shetty, who rose to fame with his popular film KantaraHe said that the beauty of Kannada is the way it changes dialect after every 20 kms. “Each of these dialects has its own sweetness and people connect better with it,” he said and added, “so there is a need for stories from different parts of the state.”
