Mittal also said that the world has started moving “very fast” on cryptocurrency, and said that while India has so far taken a stand against Crypto, the time has come in mind keeping in mind the regulations and policies, keeping in mind the changing global references and technical advances.
“In my opinion, this is a generational change, we have to embrace it, adopt it, use it for profit in our favor, instead to fight the issue and try to avoid it,” Mittal said.

Speaking at the CII Annual Business Summit 2025, Mittal urged the industry body to urge them to join political parties to highlight the economic benefits of ‘One Nation, One Election’.
“One area where I would ask to be busy with CII … one nation, one election,” said Mittal.
Mittal admitted that this is a “touching theme” and could be called “outside the industry boundary”.
“But I believe that this is a work that is collectively for all of us,” he said.
Earlier this year, CII made strong recommendations to India to move towards ‘One Nation, One Election’.
“The reason is simple: There are a lot of disturbances during elections in terms of economic activities. The code of conduct is started in a hurry. Everything stops, government contracts, government payment stops, and many restrictions come on economic activities. Our elections are happening frequently every few months, every other year … these many elections create a slowdown in our economy,” they said.
Telecom Czar noticed that many election causes recession in the economy. He urged the CII to form a committee, talk to political parties in spectrum and take advantage of the country.
“Hopefully, we can again contribute significantly to an issue for the development of our country …” he said.
In doing so, the industry must have done its job to re -confirm the trust and demonstrated that India ink looks beyond profitability and revenue.
“Finally, my friend, we really need to reach there,” he said.
On Crypto, Mittal said that it has never been seen before the last few weeks.
“The Trump is now supporting cryptocurrency with the administration, I think the world has started going there. India will have to handle it. The situation was not ‘no’ till now … that crypto would not be allowed, we will try our digital currency.
Mittal said, “But things are shifting so fast that you have to make a regulation and policy to see what is going on in the world, and adopt and see what it has on us,” Mittal said that the technology place is really moving very fast. PTI MBI MBI Sri Sri
