In shocking revelations, Surveen Chawla has revealed about being body shamed during her initial days in Mumbai. Speaking about the time when she was trying to transition from the TV industry to films, Surveen recalled her first shocking incident. In a recent interview when Actress When asked about being body-shamed due to her weight, Surveen revealed that during her debut film meet in Mumbai, she was questioned about her weight, waist size and chest size.

Surveen further added that the casting couch was also rampant. She told the host, “It’s just crazy. What are the criteria to be here? What are they? It was a period when this, along with all the casting couch and then a lot from the South (film industry) really And it was quite a tough period… it was there but I don’t think those are not the right parameters that define you or make you believe or distrust where you want to be or where you are.”

Surveen made her acting debut in 2003 with the TV show ‘Kahin To Hoga’. She went on to feature in several Bollywood movies likeHum Tum Shabana‘, ‘Ugly’ and ‘Hate Story 2’. In recent times, his performance in the web series ‘Sacred Games’ (2019) has received a lot of appreciation.
