Team India will take on Pakistan in the Super 12 match at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday and will be hoping for a win. Manjrekar picked Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Varun Chakraborty in place of veteran Ravichandran Ashwin. Apart from Chakraborty and Shardul, Manjrekar picked Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah.

Manjrekar posted, “Rohit Virat Rahul Surya Hardik Pant Jadeja Shardul Shami Bumrah Varun. My India playing XI for tonight. #IndvPak #T20WORLDCUP”, Manjrekar posted.

Under Kohli’s leadership, India will look to reach the knockout stages and win their second T20 World Cup title after winning the inaugural edition in 2007.

India will draw confidence from history before their opener as they have yet to lose a single match against Pakistan in their World Cup meet. They have defeated Pakistan seven times out of seven in ODI World Cup matches and five out of five in T20 World Cup matches.

One of India’s most popular victories in the T20 format against Pakistan came in the final of the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2007 when MS Dhoni’s team won by five runs.
