“As you are aware, IIT-Madras was established in the year 1959 on 250 hectares of land provided by the Government of Tamil Nadu. He further said that the institute had written to the Higher Education Secretary seeking support of Rs 10 crore from the state government for setting up a national facility on cryo-electron microscopy, which is being investigated.
