A school teacher has been arrested under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses) Act for allegedly impregnating a minor girl, police said on Saturday.
According to the police, the teacher (32) is a resident of Antiyur in the district. The abuse happened a few months back and a class X student had become pregnant. Following this, his parents lodged a complaint and arrested the teacher, the police said. He said the person was sent to judicial custody today.
