The country’s largest commercial vehicle maker Tata Motors today introduced a range of 21 new CV products and variants in a single day in India. The newly introduced products cover all commercial vehicle segments, from four wheeled light commercial vehicles to large 15 tonne tractor-trailers and rigid trucks. The line-up includes – 7 medium and heavy commercial vehicles in the construct, tractor-trailer and rigid truck range, and 5 intermediate and light commercial vehicles, between 4-18 tonnes GVW. Additionally, the company has also introduced 5 new buses including 4 small commercial vehicles and a new electric bus for last-mile delivery.

Incorporating the latest advances in technology, refined powertrains and upgrades in comfort and convenience, Our vehicles are ideal to meet the customers requirement of higher vehicle utilization for higher revenue with lower cost for higher profits.”

In the I&LCV segment, the company is offering 5 products ranging from 4-tonne to 18-tonne Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).
The 7 new models introduced in the M&HCV space include – Signa 5530.S for heavy duty applications, Signa 4623.S with a powerful 5.6-litre Cummins engine, Signa 4625.S ESC industry-first ESC system with, and the Signa 4221 .T with a fuel-efficient 5-liter turbotron engine. The list also includes the Signa 4021.S tractor-trailer, the Signa 3118.T, India’s first 10-wheeler 31T truck with 12.5T lift axle and the Prima 2830.K RMC with Rear Engine Power Take-Off (REPTO). also includes. The company says that these trucks have been specially introduced to meet the infrastructure development in India.

In the I&LCV segment, the company is offering 5 products with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 4 Tons to 18 Tonnes. These include – Ultra T.18 SL which comes with best-in-class payload of 11.5 tonnes, recently launched 407G CNG pick-up truck, new 709G CNG, which offers largest loading area in its segment. and the LPT 510, which comes with a 10-ft load body and a short wheelbase. The company has also introduced the new Ultra T.6, which the company says will offer faster turnaround and ease of driving. Tata Motors has also introduced SCVs for last-mile delivery, which includes the new Winger Cargo and new Intra V30 high deck variant designed for the e-commerce distribution segment. The company has also introduced two new variants of the Ace mini-truck – Ace Petrol CX and Ace Gold Diesel+, which are claimed to offer higher mileage.

For the passenger carrier segment, Tata Motors has introduced 5 new buses, including a new electric bus – the Starbus 4/12 LE, for urban mass mobility. The other four models include the Winger 15S, a 15-seater van, the Starbus 2200 for school and staff transport, and the CityRide Prime LPO 1315 bus. Tata has also introduced the new Magna Coach, which is a 13.5 meter bus for inter-city travel.
