Tata Punch is one of the much awaited upcoming launches of this year and is likely to go on sale around Diwali this year. However, the carmaker will unveil the punch next month on October 4, 2021, when we will see the micro-SUV in the flesh. Well! The Tata Punch is likely to rival the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, but is claimed to be more of a jacked-up hatch. Earlier, Tata Motors had confirmed that the Punch will have SUV features and is likely to have segment-first features like Traction Mode (Sand, Rock, Mud), Hill Descent Control and Hill Start Assist, giving more SUV credentials. The new Tata Punch will be the first SUV to be built on Alpha-ARC (Agile Light Flexible Advanced Architecture), and it will employ the IMPACT 2.0 design language. It is the new entry-level SUV in the company’s line-up and will be positioned below the Nexon subcompact SUV in India. The front end looks aggressive with Tata’s signature split lighting design. The black panels that house the Tata logo also feature three tri-arrow patterns, which are surrounded by LED daytime running lamps, while the main headlamp units are located below, which will come with projector lights. Most of the front is covered with a heavy casing and features a large tri-arrow design grille and large round fog lamps.

The Tata Punch will also get blue bezels along with horizontal air-con vents.
The cabin of the Tata Punch was also unveiled and will sport a minimalistic dashboard with a dual-tone black and white paint scheme. It will also get horizontal air-con vents with blue bezels. The Harman-sourced touchscreen infotainment system, as seen in the Altroz and Nexon, takes center stage. The infotainment system is likely to be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and we also expect the top-spec model to get iRA connected car technology. The image also confirmed that it will be offered with an AMT option as well. The Creature Comfort list includes a digital-analog instrument cluster, flat-bottom steering wheel, engine start-stop button, automatic climate control, power windows at the front, fabric upholstery with gray pattern, electrically adjustable ORVMs and white silver accents. door handles among others.

Specifications have not been revealed, however, we expect the new punch to come with a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine, which also powers the Altroz premium hatchback.
