Teacher will get national award

K Ramachandran, a secondary class teacher at Panchayat Union Primary School, Bogalur Union in Keelambur, has been selected for the National Best Teacher Award – 2022.

He received the award on 5th September at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi along with a citation of merit, Rs. 50,000 and a silver medal, a communication from the Union Ministry of Education here on Thursday.

He told reporters that he is very excited and happy about this honour. “I dedicate this to my students, the teaching fraternity, officials of the education department, the minister of school education and the chief minister and the central government.

The teacher always comes to the school in school uniform to give a sense of unity among the students. He said that such an award would motivate him to achieve even higher goals.

Of the 46 teachers selected for the National Award from different parts of the country, Sri Ramachandran is the only one to be selected from Tamil Nadu.
