KCR on Thursday released a video in which the BJP was purportedly trying to buy MLAs of his party.
Hyderabad:
Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Etela Rajender has accused the KCR government of trying to “finish the opposition” by “purchasing” their MLAs.
Mr Rajendra was reacting to Chief Minister KCR’s remarks on alleged poaching attempts by the BJP, in which he alleged that the BJP has “destroyed” the country and “killed” democracy in the country.
Criticizing KCR over his remarks, the BJP MLA said the TRS “murdered” democracy by buying out MLAs from other parties despite having an absolute majority since 2018.
“It was CM KCR who tried to eliminate opposition parties. In 2014, around 25 MLAs were bought from BSP, YSRCP, TDP and Congress. After 2018, he got an absolute majority with 90 seats out of 119, then Also they took 12 MLAs. Murder of Congress party and democracy,” he told ANI on Saturday.
He alleged that TRS was luring MLAs of other parties by “intimidating” them and offering them money.
“The MLAs are being lured into their party by intimidating them and promising some contracts in the constituency and paying the MLAs money. Similarly 12 MLAs were bought. KCR destroyed democracy. Whatever KCR said is appropriate for him and not for others,” Mr. Rajendra said.
Earlier on Thursday, KCR had released a video in which the BJP was purportedly trying to buy MLAs of his party. The Chief Minister was reacting to the incident on October 26.
KCR accused the BJP of destroying all the systems of the country. “There are disturbing conditions in the country. Democracy is being murdered in the country. I speak with great pain. I cannot believe such an evil can happen. Unemployment has risen. The value of the rupee has fallen. The BJP has destroyed the country in all areas,” KCR had said while talking to the media.
He said that in Munugode by-election he witnessed such incidents which were never seen before.
“Elections come and go, but the BJP is doing what no one expected with its conspiracies to win every election,” he said.
In this regard, KCR said that a video has been released containing elements of conspiracy of what the BJP has done to buy the MLAs of his party.
He said the videos are being sent to Supreme Court judges in all states as well as High Court judges and chief ministers of other states.
Appealing to everyone to save democracy, he said that this is the culmination of BJP’s anarchy.
Speaking about Dalal, KCR said, “A broker Ramachandra Bharati met Tandur MLA Rohit Reddy. Then Reddy complained to us and we took it to the Home Ministry. No one can lose more government to BJP. “
KCR said, “There is an hour long video on buying MLAs. We are sending the video to all the news agencies and CMs of the country. Judges of the country including Supreme Court. Democracy should be protected in this country. I will do the country.” Send the video to all the judges, I will also send the video to all the central investigating agencies.
Meanwhile, the BJP termed KCR an “actor” in the “political sphere” after he on Thursday released a video in which the BJP purportedly tried to buy MLAs of his party.
“Usually people will showcase their skills by acting and playing different roles in cinema field like NTR, Dilip Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and others but our state CM KCR is acting in political arena with his lies and dialogues and political by his lies. Able to mesmerize the workers”, said BJP spokesperson NV Subhash while reacting to the CM’s media conference.
